Why do some countries have same time?
As Earth rotates, different parts of Earth receive sunlight or darkness, giving us day and night. As your location on Earth rotates into sunlight, you see the sun rise. Since different parts of Earth enter and exit daylight at different times, we need different time zones.

In short, to make better use of the light. When we move clocks backward an hour in the autumn, we are effectively transferring an hour of daylight from evening to morning, when it is arguably more useful to more people. The opposite thing happens in the spring.

Why can’t all of Australia have the same time zone to make things easier for businesses?
Originally Australia had three time zones: Greenwich plus 8 hours, Greenwich plus 9 and Greenwich plus 10 in the East. So there was an hour between each part of the country. They say the half hour difference makes it harder to work with people in other states.
