In Reality, Rock and EDM are very different, although Indie Dance mixes many subgenres of rock with those of dance music. Electronic Music is more focused on sound / tone and instrumental music, while Rock is focused on vocal melody (like Pop) and often accompanied by electric guitars, bass gritars and drums.
