Is the American education system flawed?

One of the biggest flaws in the American education system is the amount of pressure that students have on them to do well in school, so they can get into a good college. As a Freshman and someone who has a tough home life, I can agree that this is one of the main causes as to why I do poorly on some things in school.

How is the education system corrupt?

Corruption contributes to poor education outcomes. Diversion of school funds robs schools of resources, while nepotism and favouritism can put unqualified teachers in classrooms. When families must pay bribes for services, this puts poor students at a disadvantage and reduces equal access to education.

Why the United States education system is failing?

1. Deficits in government funding for schools. Funding is always an issue for schools and is, in fact, one of the biggest issues facing the American public education system today. Lower funding means fewer teachers, fewer programs, and diminished resources.

Our schools are overcrowded. A study by the National Center for Education Statistics found that 14 percent of U.S. schools exceed capacity. At a time where children need more attention than ever to succeed, overcrowded classrooms are making it even tougher to learn and tougher still for teachers to be effective.
