The height of your partner really does matter in a relationship – for women at least, researchers have found. The researchers say having a tall partner can make women feel more feminine and protected – but that men care far less about the height of their partner.

Why does height matter in a relationship?

According to the study data, the dominant reasons females cited for preferring a tall partner are matters of protection and femininity. Men were much less likely to say that height mattered, and for those that did, they preferred shorter women, but not so short that it would cause problems with physical intimacy .

Do guys care if a girl is the same height?

As long as the guy is perfectly secure in his self-confidence and is not affected by the societal judgments, he will have no issues with the height difference and vice versa. As long as you are happily together, nothing else matters.

Generally, a one inch difference isn’t noticeable but 1.7 is closer to 2 inches, which is usually noticeable.
