In 1991, Marvel issued a trading card about Thor’s legendary hammer, and on that card, Marvel stated that Mjolnir weighed 42.3 pounds. Someone who is NOT worthy couldn’t lift Mjolnir no matter if it weighed 42.3 pounds, or 4.23 ounces.

To be worthy means to have performed many many heroic and selfless acts, so many that it would be virtually impossible for someone with a normal human lifespan to perform them all.
