Why is my egg white transparent?

Egg whites have a lot of water in them. So the more water there was, the more ice, and thus, you end up with a transparent egg white. The phenomenon is not restricted to quail eggs, it happens with chicken eggs, and probably most other eggs as well. The difference between them is the amount of white in the egg itself.
