Why inequality is such a problem for society?

Inequality is bad for society as it goes along with weaker social bonds between people, which in turn makes health and social problems more likely. Economic prosperity goes along with stronger social bonds in society and thereby makes health and social problem less likely.

Some emotional problems may include feelings of anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. Poverty and economic hardship is particularly difficult for parents who may experience chronic stress, depression, marital distress and exhibit harsher parenting behaviors.

Why do rich people think they deserve special treatment?

Rich people think they deserve special treatment because they’re rich. Poor people think they deserve a handout because they’re poor. Middle-class people think they deserve to move up because they’ve done x, y, or z.
