Why didnt Sauron fight in Lord of the Rings?
Sauron didn’t need to go physically fight during the War of the Ring. He had his servants to do so for him. The only reason he came forth in the War of the Last Alliance was that his armies were being completely destroyed and were about to lose. This was not the case in the War of the Rings.
Why does Gondor have no army?
