Where in the Bible does it say you go to hell?
Jesus Christ says in Matthew 25:41, “Depart from me, ye cursed, into EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels.” In Matthew 13:42, Jesus says: “And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” HELL IS FOREVER! All who enter hell — abandon all hope!
Can we get to heaven without loving God?
One can only go to heaven through God’s grace alone. And those who do not love God have not received God’s grace. If one has received God’s grace and mercy one cannot not love God. Also, Jesus does condemn those who do ‘good deeds’ for the wrong motivations.
How do you know that God is with you?
Instead, you can make new decisions.
- God’s Word. Do you do your devotions or Bible study every day but consciously choose to live in direct opposition to His word?
- God’s Audible Voice. Perhaps you’ve heard testimonies of people hearing God speak to them.
- Wise Counsel.
- Visions & Dreams.
- Your Inner Knowing.
- Blocked Paths.
What does the Bible say about Hell?
According to the Bible, hell is punishment, because God is the judge who justly sentences the wicked. It is also described as destruction with words like perishing, death, or the second death. In Matthew 10:28 Jesus says, “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Is there a way to get to Hell?
Just as there is a way that leads to heaven, there is also a way that leads to hell – and it’s heavily signposted. It’s a path that someone decides to take, a direction they have been heading in and a course they have set, long before they get there.
Does God want people to be cast into Hell?
God has no desire that anyone should be cast into hell. He fervently loves each one that He has placed on earth. He gives people so many chances to repent and receive forgiveness.
Can God force us to love him?
If He forced us to love Him, we would be robots. To give us no option but obedience would be a violation of our free will. Love is only love when it is voluntary. We cannot love God unless we have the option of not loving Him. Because God honors our autonomy, He will never force surrender or loyalty.
