What is collections in AO3?

A collection is a group of works and/or bookmarks compiled together under one theme. For example, it could contain all works that have been created for a challenge, all works you posted in a particular year, or all of your bookmarked recommendations for a specific relationship, character, or fandom.

What are AO3 bookmarks?

An AO3 bookmark is a record of a work you want to remember, find more easily, or record a note about. Bookmarks created on the Archive can also serve as recommendations to other users.

How do you use collections in AO3?

To create a collection, go to your AO3 profile, then to ‘Collections’, and click ‘New Collection’. This will take you to the long form shown to the right (click on the image to see a larger version). Fortunately, you don’t need to fill out the entire thing in order to create your collection.
