What happened to Eowyn after she killed the Witch King?
After the War of the Ring had ended, she decided to give up dreams of glory in battle and devote her life to peace and a happy marriage.
Why can Eowyn kill the Witch King?
Eowyn was only able to kill the Witchking, who was normally immune to weapons, because of Merrys enchanted Dagger. Unlike what was portrayed in the movie, the dagger that Merry received was from Cardolan a northern kingdom of men who fought the witchking over a thousand years prior.
Why did Merry get hurt when he stabbed the Witch King?
Because, despite the blade Merry was carrying being enchanted specifically to be effective against the Witch-King, the evil inherent in the Witch-King’s nature was so powerful it poisoned whatever and whoever it came in contact with.

Strangely enough, the Witch-king’s fatal weakness isn’t two X chromosomes. The death of the Witch-king is actually more a team effort between Éowyn and Merry. In the film, Éowyn is being held by the dark villain, but is released when her hairy-footed friend sneaks up behind the Witch-king and stabs him in the leg.
What sword did Merry use?
In the movies Merry simply uses a sword Aragorn gifted to him on weather top as a small weapon of self defence against possible dangers on the road.
How did Éowyn survive?
Éowyn seizes the opportunity to strike the Nazgûl with a killing thrust “between crown and mantle”. Then, as her sword shatters, his withering form collapses and he vanishes with a final cry of anguish. Éowyn passes out from the pain in her arm, and is believed dead until Prince Imrahil realizes she still lives.
