Was Saruman stronger than Sauron?
Absolutely not. Sauron not only still has access to the majority of his powers as a Miar Spirit (even without the ring), but his power would be greater than any other Miar if he got the ring back. Saurmans powers are limited by his incarnation into a true physical body.
What would have happened if Saruman got the Ring?
With possession of the one ring he would have replaced Sauron (would have wiped him out entirely). Saruman wasn’t an elf, or even a man. The one ring would have made him more like what he was before he left on his mission to middle-earth, only corrupted and evil. He easily would have had mastery over the ring itself.
Is Galadriel stronger than Gandalf?
Galadriel was never more powerful than Gandalf! NEVER! Gandalf was considered one of the most powerful of the Maiar, and even the weakest Maiar was a bit more powerful than Galadriel.
How many Orcs did Sauron have under his command?
Sauron also lost several thousand orcs in the Fall of Dol Goldur, a few hundred in the Siege of Gondor, and a few hundred in the Attack on Osgiliath. Adding those up, Sauron likely had at least 140,000 soldiers under his command. This is only a guess. Saruman had the lesser army at isengard.
How do Saruman and Sauron compare to each other?
We know Saruman fielded an impressive war economy in the relatively compact area of Isengard, and Sauron had behind him the might of the entire realm of Mordor, also implied to be heavily geared towards military production. Both have an obvious numerical superiority in the battles they fight.
How big was Saruman’s Army in the Battle of Hornburg?
Mordor’s troops consisted of some 18,000 Easterlings and Haradrim, several Haradrim war Oliphaunts, and tens of thousands of Orcs. Again Saruman’s army in the Battle of Hornburg is not specified, rather just an army “of great size”. However the films mention 10,000 Uruk Hai.
What was the size of Sauron’s Army?
As noted by Richard in the comments, there isn’t any definitive figure for Sauron’s army, but we could guess anywhere upwards of 50,000 due to this bit of text, taken from Richard’s link here: Mordor’s troops consisted of some 18,000 Easterlings and Haradrim, [2] several Haradrim war Oliphaunts, and tens of thousands of Orcs.
