Is Dresden Germany worth visiting?

For most tourists that visit Dresden, the main draw is to explore the historic Old Town. The historic Old Town is fairly compact and easy to walk around and I suggest spending at least one day in Dresden exploring this area and marvelling at the baroque architecture that is less common for a German city.

Is Dresden safe for tourists?

Dresden is a very safe city to travel to. Its crime rates are low and the law is strictly respected. The most common form of a crime you’ll probably encounter is pickpocketing or bicycle theft. Violent crimes such as homicide, robberies, rape, or assaults are also not an issue in this city.
