That is what implicit faith in the Lord does to you. In the beginning of this article, I mentioned about visiting 106 out of the 108 Divya Desams on this earth. The balance two are located in ‘Vaikundam’ and ‘Thiruparkadal’, the original abode of Lord Vishnu in heaven.

Why it is called Divya Desam?

A Divya Desam or Vaishnava Divya Desam is one of the 108 Vishnu temples that are mentioned in the works of the Alvars (mystic Tamil saints). Divya means “divine” and Desam indicates “place of abode” (temple). The Divya Desams are revered by the 12 Alvars in the Divya Prabandha, a collection of 4,000 Tamil verses.
