Old MUSIC FTW ! In general, the quality of popular music in has steadily declined in the past twenty to thirty years; less complexity, more emphasis on imitation than ever before / more derivative than ever. Poor musicianship and the reliance on computers make this modern pop music less human.
Is old music better than modern music?
When compared to modern music, old music is leagues ahead. Doesnt matter what you enjoy listening to but the truth remains that music has gone downhill since the 90s. You could easily see it in the lyrical complexity of modern music. Almost all the songs have lyrics with same meaning. And many of them sound the same.
