Can you send a save-the-date and not an invitation?

Sending a Save the Date Card but not an Invitation You can’t send a save a date to someone who you might only invite to the wedding ceremony at a later date. So only send them to those guests you definitely want to be with you on your wedding day.

When should you send save-the-dates or invitations?

It’s important to know when to send save-the-dates if you choose to use them. Everyone on your “A” guest list-even your maid of honor who found out the second you booked the venue-should receive a save-the-date. (Due to budget and venue restrictions, you may have a “B” guest list-people you would love to have at your wedding but can’t invite until regrets come in).

When to send invitations if not sending save the dates?

Invitations would be mailed 6-8 weeks before the wedding just as normal. Even though you aren’t sending save the dates, there is no need to send the invites any earlier than this timeline.
