Can you edit a photo and sell it?

Short answer, no. Ok, technically you can sell a photo you don’t own but it would be illegal. You would be in essence stealing someone else’s work and pretending that it is yours just because you edited it.

Can you sell edited stock photos?

In short, you typically can’t resell your stock photos. Without proper licensing or express permission from the copyright holder, reselling a stock image for commercial purposes may be grounds for legal action. For these and other reasons, it’s best to read the license’s fine print before using a stock photo.
