Can we store Aadhaar number in database?

The Aadhaar Act 2016 states an Aadhaar Number which identifies all the residents of India uniquely (but it is not a citizenship document). However, as per the rules of the Unique Identification Authority of India, actual Aadhaar Number must not be stored in the database of any business for example.
