Can 18 year old boys increase height?

Height is largely determined by genetics, and most people will not grow taller after age 18. However, proper nutrition during childhood and adolescence can help you maximize your height.

The tall gene is in fact recessive. So if you got the short gene from your parent, you will be short since it is dominant compared to the tall gene. However if both your parents are short but they both carry the recessive tall gene, there is around a 25\% of being taller because you inherit the tall genes.
