Why did Punjab and Haryana separated?

This separation was the result of the Punjabi Suba movement, which agitated for the creation of a Punjabi-speaking state (the modern state of Punjab); in the process a majority Hindi-speaking state was created (effectively, Haryana).

Even Himachal Pradesh has developed in to a better place. If Punjab,Haryana,Himachal were together then no Sikh separatist movement and Punjab would had been a rich state today. Sorry but even after getting Punjabi Suba Sikhs are just 57\% of Punjab state population.
