The most difficult romance language for an English speaker is French. Regardless of the fact that English has copied and pasted thousand of French words into its vocabulary French pronounciation, spelling and grammar remains very difficult for Englsh speakers to master.

French is very hard compared to Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. Looking forward to finding out how hard Romanian is 🙂 Disagree as an English speaker I found French much easier to speak then Portuguese as french only has 38 sounds verse 55 sounds for Portuguese.

And no, it will be very easy to speak Portuguese and then Spanish, the opposite is quite hard because of the 55 nasel sounds that Portuguese produces. It will be better for you to learn Portuguese first and then you will dominate a lot more sounds and learn much better the other languages!
