Where Rust is being used?

What is Rust programming language?

Why is Google moving from C to rust?

Google argues that Rust should help reduce memory errors that lead to security vulnerabilities, which make up the bulk of flaws that tech firms and open-source projects fix in each update. The goal is not to write all 30 million lines of C code again in Rust, but to write new code in Rust instead.

Why should I learn rust?

Unlike many existing systems programming languages, Rust doesn’t require that you spend all of your time mired in nitty-gritty details. Rust strives to have as many zero-cost abstractions as possible—abstractions that are as equally as performant as the equivalent hand-written code.

Is it possible to replace Android with rust?

The old code has had most of the bugs fixed already. Google says rewriting the “tens of millions of lines” of existing C and C++ Android code in Rust is “simply not feasible,” and rewriting old Android wouldn’t matter much since old code has had most of the bugs beaten out of it by now.
