What is special about KTM Duke?

It has a four-stroke, spark-ignition liquid-cooled engine. It has six-speed gearbox and a cable actuated multi-disc clutch. The bike has an underbelly exhaust and a three-chamber silencer positioned close to its centre of gravity. The Duke 200 is manufactured at Bajaj Autos Chakan Plant in India.

Is KTM Duke worth buying?

Not The Best Value-for-money Proposition: At a price of Rs 1.24 lakh, it’s also the most expensive 125cc bike in India. In fact, it’s positioned even above its 150cc rivals – the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Rs 98,785), Suzuki Gixxer (Rs 88,941), Honda CB Hornet 160R (Rs 94,500) and Yamaha FZ-FI (Rs 95,680).

Is KTM Duke overrated?

They are not overrated. KTM introduced us to performance levels that were unseen and unheard of previously in India. For their asking price they provide amazing engine performance and handling. In fact, there are few bikes in their respective segments that can challenge the KTMs when it comes to handling.

KTM has witnessed great success in India ever since it launched its bikes here, with the key reason being the price tag. The brand, so far, has offered performance-oriented bikes with affordable price tags. At the outset, KTM products may seem a tad expensive as compared to other products in the segment.

Is KTM 125 Duke good?

The bike has a fairly comfortable riding position. The bike isn’t overheavy at 137kg’s but its weight is carried low down in the steel trellis frame, making it very easy to handle, it gets around corners well too. That’s thanks to great geometry, a stiff frame, WP suspension and upside down forks.

Why is KTM worst?

The problem KTM’s get a bad name is because a lot of riders don’t know how to ride a bike properly. And for that, our current licensing system is to blame. Anyone can get a license unlike in the West where it is a grade system and you have to display a certain level of riding knowledge.

It’s primarily because KTM bikes sold in India are made in India which is the main reason.
