Real Means “Sounds a Certain Way” When people talk about real music, it just means music from the past that sounds a certain way. Nothing makes some music more real than any other music. Don’t knock other music and say it’s not “real” just because you don’t like it.

It’s also a person who makes music a profession, anyone (professional or not) who’s skilled in making music or performing music creatively, or one who composes, conducts, or performs music (especially instrumental music) is a musician.
