However much you pray and fast daily yet you are not baptized, you are still a sinner unless you take a step of getting committed to God through baptism. It is written in the book of Mark 16:16, “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”

We baptize at age 8 because the Lord wants children to have the blessings, in this and the next life, that come through covenant relationships. We baptize at age 8 because in doing so we give children access to the power of righteousness and the power of God in their lives.
