Is the PADI open water course hard?

To get this scuba diving certification is not actually that difficult and PADI have worked hard to make it easy and safe for most people to get this Open Water certification. The PADI slogan says it all: “PADI, the Way the World Learns to Dive”.

Can you fail PADI open water?

What happens if you fail your PADI exam?

If you fail in 2 or more sections, or you fail the retake, you will have to attend a later PADI Instructor Exam and repeat all written exams again. The fee to do so is approx $200.

How deep can I dive with PADI Open Water?

PADI Open Water Diver: Maximum Depth. – Open Water Divers can plan and execute dives with a certified buddy or dive professional to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet. – Scuba Divers may only dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet.

Is the padi test multiple choice?

There is no being a “stickler” about the tests. They are set, everybody does the same quizzes and exam. They are multiple choice.

Can a non swimmer go scuba diving?

The answer is: yes, you can To get certified as a diver, you need to know basic swimming (ability to float or tread water for 10 min, swim 200m unaided/300m with mask-fins-snorkel). However, to do introductory scuba diving program such as Try Scuba or a PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, swimming is not required.

Is learning to scuba dive scary?

Yes, scuba diving can be scary. However, some level of fear is a good thing, and you certainly are not alone. Scuba diving can be dangerous, and without respecting this, your chances of an accident underwater increase hugely. Fear reminds you that there are potential risks and so should not be ignored.

Does PADI expire?

Your PADI certification never expires; but if you haven’t been diving in a while, it’s better to be over-prepared than risk a problem because you forget something important. Dive shops also appreciate seeing a recent ReActivated date on your certification card.

What is no stop time in diving?

The “no-decompression limit” (NDL) or “no-stop limit” , is the time interval that a diver may theoretically spend at a given depth without having to perform any decompression stops while surfacing.
