Sometimes, people are still thinking about their Ex for months, or even years after the relationship ended because of lingering insecurities or comparisons they’re making — even subconsciously. Yes, it’s hard to stop thinking about your Ex, but it’s also necessary.

To go by a specific time, it can be said that it may take a few months or over a year depending on the situation. Your ex may come back after realizing that you now a new version of yourself or didn’t feel the comfort of a good relationship with the new person.
