The United States is one of the better countries in the world, in my opinion. Although I’ve written about the good aspects of this country in other articles, it seems lately that the only news we hear about America is negative. We hear so much about job losses, home foreclosures, and nasty weather events.

Why should we improve America’s transit system?
Improving America’s transit system will also reduce the dependence on automobiles, which will help save the environment from pollution. Traffic in the streets would be greatly reduced. People would not have to spend all this money on gas, car insurance, wear and tear on tires, and other related costs.
What can we do to make change in our nation?
There are things we can all do, no matter how small, to strengthen and improve our nation community by community, neighborhood by neighborhood. So rather than complaining about what is no longer in our control, here are some real world ways you can take initiative to make change in our nation: Volunteer at a low-income school.
What would it take to make a country Great?
I think it’s difficult for a country to be great without some form of the following: a truly democratic vote – every vote is equal and representation is fair and just. Voting is encouraged (not suppressed), accessible, quick, and easy – the higher the participation, the better.
