Can programmers memorize everything? The truth is, they DON’T. It’s impossible for one person to remember everything about a programming language. As you get more experience, you’ll retain more information and hopefully develop a better understanding, but that’s different from memorizing everything.
Do you memorize HTML?
Much of beginner learning about html is memorizing what tags you can use and what each does and then practice using them. Don’t stress the memorization. It will come with use. The more often you use certain tags, the more you’ll remember the little details about them.

The best way to memorize is by systematic and constant repetition:
- first repetition — right after reading.
- second repetition — in 20-30 minutes after first repetition.
- third repetition — in a day after the second repetition.
- fourth repetition — in 2-3 weeks after the third repetition.

They have other skills, it’s just programming hasn’t come naturally to them and they don’t really enjoy it. If you don’t enjoy programming and you don’t have that inherit need to problem solve or get an answer to solution, it is unlikely you will have the urge to program and develop your skills.

It is likely that they were unsure of their skills or their interests and followed the most available career path to them.

No, you don’t have to love programming to become a programmer. In fact, over 50\% of professional developers sometimes hate it (my personal observation). See, it’s nice when you solve a problem elegantly. It feels good when your code is neat, clean, well-tested and solves people’s problems.
How do you help people who don’t enjoy programming?
In the beginning you might encourage them and give them simpler programming tasks. However even then you find too many of your other resources are being used to help these individuals. They have other skills, it’s just programming hasn’t come naturally to them and they don’t really enjoy it.
