In Star Wars, Emperor Palpatine originally had big plans for Darth Vader. However, there’s a good reason he wanted to discard him in favor of Luke Skywalker. However, despite that effort, Palpatine eventually sought to replace Darth Vader with his son, Luke Skywalker, and there’s a good reason why.
