Your computer should now boot from the flash drive or USB based external hard drive. If you’re booting from Windows 10, Windows 8, or Windows 7 installation files on a flash drive, the operating system setup will begin. If you’re booting from a DBAN flash drive you created, it will start.

  • Lastly, click on “Start” and wait for the software to create the bootable USB drive.

    What to do when Windows won’t boot?

    Start Windows in safe mode. The so-called “safe mode” should always be the first resort when Windows isn’t booting as usual.

  • Try Windows automatic repair. If the safe mode did not work,you should try to automatically repair the system.
  • Restore previous Windows version.
  • Repair boot manager.
  • Reinstall the Windows operating system.
  • How to boot from external SSD?

    During the process of computer restarting, long press F2 key (perhaps other keys like DEL) and access to the BIOS environment.

  • Change the boot order and set the cloned SSD as the boot drive in BIOS.
  • Press Enter. Now you should boot the computer from the SSD successfully.
