The Avada Kedavra doesnt kill everyone. If one has the brother/twin of the core trying to kill the wizard, if both cast a spell, Priori Incantem takes over. It doesnt kill Phoenixes which regenerate automatically. It doesnt kill you if you put a product or object between you and the spell.
