CAN A SCIENCE STUDENT BECOME CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT? Chartered Accountancy is a course of passion and dedication. Every student can pursue this course after the 12th examinations. If you are a science student till the 12th or even if you are a graduate of science then also you can be a Chartered Accountant.

Is science student eligible for CA?

You can definitely take CA course. If you are Science students till 12 or graduated in Science you still can be Chartered Accountant. Obviously Commerce students have the benefit that they are aware about Accounting but there are many other subject for CA which are new to everyone whether Science or Commerce.

If you wanna do CA ,the first step is that you should enroll for entrance examination I.e,CPT and as u r from science background you should have clear understanding of basic fundamental of accountancy. With determination and concentration you can definitely crack the entrance(science background will never be a hurdle).

Students will now be able to seek provisional admission to foundation course of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) after class 10 exams, according to new norms. The new norms will enable students to become a Chartered Accountant (CA) six months before the present timeline.
