Thai culture and Japanese culture are traditionally very different. We believe in different sects of Buddhism, have different festivals/ holidays, and different working culture. Thai culture was a mixture of Indian and Chinese, where Japanese culture was traditionally similar to Chinese’s Tang dynasty.
