Is it normal to be one-sided with a friend?

Though if you feel like you’re always there to lend an ear to them but never seem to receive the same support, you should definitely consider bringing up that one-sidedness with your friend. It’s entirely possible that person just loves to talk and can get a bit carried away sometimes.

Are You Ready to be friends with someone?

Those last two are pretty essential. You can’t really be friends with someone if you think about them every time you touch yourself. When you can answer these questions with an honest no, then you’re ready for friendship. Otherwise, keep your distance. This advice also applies if someone has a crush on you.

What are the signs that a friend is not a good friend?

You’re the only one who initiates talking and hanging out. You don’t equally share details about your life with each other. They are inconsiderate about your time and energy. They only call you when they have a problem or need something from you. They do not respect your boundaries.

What does “let’s just be friends” mean to a crush?

“Let’s just be friends” is a confusing thing to tell someone who has a crush on you, because it could mean anything. All it does is communicate what you don’t want — like physical intimacy. Think about all the times you’ve heard someone say something like that, either to you, or someone else.

Are You the Karen in Your Friend Circle?

Like all normal people, I can’t stand Dane Cook, but he’s said approximately one thing I think is absolutely true. In every group of friends, there’s the “Karen” of the group, aka. the friend no one likes. If you can’t figure out who the Karen is in your friend circle, that means you are the Karen. Unsure if that person is you?

What is it called when a friend makes you feel uncomfortable?

Whether it’s asking for a difficult favor or ditching you at a party, friends should know what makes you feel uncomfortable. It’s called empathy! She might look ah-mazing, but if you’re blinking in your friend’s latest Instagram, a picture says a thousand words.
