Is CGI easier than 2D?

2D is much more simple technically, so it’s a lot easier to learn, but it still takes just as much, and often more, time to do than 3D. Since you have to draw, or at least manipulate, each frame, it can take a long time to create something of a decent length.

Is 2D animation more expensive than CGI?
