Can virtual machines share GPU?

For lighter workloads, multiple virtual machines (VMs) can share GPU resources with NVIDIA virtual GPU software. For larger models and increasingly demanding workflows, NVIDIA Quadro® Virtual Desktop Workstation (vDWS) and NVIDIA Virtual Compute Server (vCS) software allow multiple GPUs to be assigned to a single VM.

What is GPU sharing?

What exactly is shared GPU memory? This is a sort of virtual memory that’s used when your GPU runs out of its dedicated video memory. It’s usually half of the amount of RAM you have.
