Are Tolkien elves monogamous?
Elves marry for love, or at least with free will from both parties, typically early in life. Monogamy is practised and adultery is unthinkable. They marry only once for it was ruled by Manwë that, “‘since the Elves are by nature permanent in life within Arda, so also is their unmarred marriage.
Do elves have mates?
Elves can have two kinds of mates: Lifemates and Lovemates. Throughout the course of the ElfQuest adventures there are many characters within the Elven race who are one of these kinds of mate classes.
Do elves have soulmates LOTR?

Yes, yes they do. Legolas’s people, in particular, traded the wines from the South quite often. However, due to an elf’s physical attributes, it takes a potent wine indeed to get an elf drunk. The movie’s extended scene got that correct.
Do elves eat babies?
English male elves were described as looking like little old men, though elf maidens were invariably young and beautiful. They may steal babies, cattle, milk, and bread or enchant and hold young men in their spell for years at a time.
