INFP are actually sympathetic, not empathetic. Fi (authenticity) is related to sympathy, not empathy, as Fi doesn’t absorb emotions. It can look similar to cognitive empathy in a Fi first slot user (thus several INFPs think mistakenly to be empathetic) but that’s actually a sympathetic approach.
