Why is Luffy not affected by lightning?

The Straw Hat Pirates head revealed it’s because he’s made of rubber. According to BlockToro, it has been known that Luffy is immune to lightning, as seen in the Skypiea arc. Here, Enel’s thunderbolts also didn’t hurt him.

Does Enel’s lightning affect Luffy?

All of Enel’s lightning attacks were shown to have absolutely no effect on Monkey D. Luffy, even those with voltages as high as 100 or 200 million. It is unknown if other insulators have the same effect on Enel’s Logia form.

Is Luffy immune to electricity?

Luffy’s rubber body not only allows him to hit Enel, whose body is made of electricity, but also prevents Luffy from suffering electric shocks. This immunity to electricity allows the user to hit Enel, the user of the Goro Goro no Mi (an electricity Logia) without needing Haki.

Why Luffy can hit Enel without Haki?

Because there are only two ways to beat up Logia Users, one is through the use of Haki and the other is by their weakness. The reason why Luffy could hit Enel despite not being able to use Haki at the time was because Luffy is made of rubber, which as an insulator, lightning cannot pass through.
