Laxus was an immensely powerful wizard second only to Gildarts in the Fairy Tail Guild. Laxus was considered for the title of Wizard Saint but because of his boorish behavior and the fact that the Fairy Tail Guild was a rowdy bunch, the idea was scrapped.
