Why does Obi-Wan always lose to Dooku?

Posted on August 26, 2022 by Author

Why does Obi-Wan always lose to Dooku?

There are two main reasons for this. The first is that Dooku was simply a far superior duelist than Obi-Wan. The only people to ever beat Mace Windu in lightsaber combat were Dooku and Yoda, so Dooku was one of the best swordman the order ever produced.

Did Dooku care about Obi-Wan?

Dooku hoped to have Obi-Wan as his Sith apprentice and went as far as to reveal Sidious’s existence to convince him to join him. Obi-Wan didn’t believe him and refused, resulting in the two being enemies ever since. Despite this, however, Dooku had a healthy respect for Obi-Wan, considering him a worthy adversary.

Who can beat Obi-Wan?

While Dooku was able to defeat Obi-Wan, nearly killing him, he could not best Anakin. At the urging of Chancellor Palpatine, the young Jedi beheaded the Sith Lord. Anakin carried an unconscious Obi-Wan on his back, and the three returned to Coruscant.

Does Anakin hate Obi-Wan?

Anakin does not “hate” Obi-Wan. Look at the sadness in his eyes as he is crawling, helpless, extending his hand to Obi-Wan, calling for his help. It is only after Obi turns away that he says “I HATE YOU!”.

What would have happened if Obi-Wan joined Dooku?

If he joined Dooku briefly, he possibly could’ve stopped the Clone Wars before it even started. Obi-Wan could act as a double-agent under Dooku, and still report to the Jedi Order. He would still have to report to the Jedi as not to raise suspicion about his allegiances.

Is Obi-Wan straight?

No Obi-Wan is not gay. At least not in the extended Star Wars universe before the Disney take over. There, Obi-Wan even declared his love for a female Jedi by the name of Siri Tachi.

Is Obi-Wan weak?

He was only weak compared to Sidious, Yoda, Windu, Dooku and Anakin/Vader (although certain circumstanes allowed him to match Anakin/Vader on Mustafar, anyway). Yes, compared to the very strongest Force-using characters in the movies, he was weak.

Why does Obi-Wan turn down Count Dooku’s offer?

Obi-Wan thus turns down Dooku’s offer to take down the Sith and Jedi together. Hoping that Obi-Wan would come around and partner with him, Dooku was disappointed to find where Obi-Wan’s loyalties resided. Count Dooku’s vision of the future was one in which the Empire would boast a Sith army to maintain rule and order among its citizens.

Is Anakin stronger than Obi-Wan Kenobi?

Both Obi-Wan and Anakin have grown between the end of Episode II, where they got beat pretty badly by Dooku, and Episode III, where Obi-Wan still gets beat pretty badly, but fortunately Anakin is way stronger. During the Clone Wars, the two of them battled against both Count Dooku and Darth Maul on many occasions.

Is it possible for Obi Wan to become Darth Sidious?

Obi-Wan: No, that’s not possible. The Jedi would be aware of it. Count Dooku: The dark side of the Force has clouded their vision, my friend. Hundreds of senators are now under the influence of a Sith Lord called Darth Sidious. Obi-Wan: I don’t believe you. Count Dooku: You must join me, Obi-Wan, and together we will destroy the Sith!
