Nowadays, war paint’s primary purpose is to better camouflage the user. It may still serve a purpose of possibly intimidating the enemy, but I find it unlikely. Therefore, war paint does give a tactical advantage in battle, as it can intimidate the enemy, as well as camouflage yourself.
