What happens to money if Kickstarter project fails?
If a Kickstarter project fails, no money is collected from the backers. Their credit cards are not charged unless the project is 100\% funded. If you mean what happens if your reward isn’t delivered, you have recourse available through introducing a civil court case.
What happens if a Kickstarter campaign doesn’t reach its goal?
Creators will still receive the balance of collected funds, less fees, even if the final amount falls below your project’s funding goal due to dropped pledges. Kickstarter will only collect fees on the funds that we are able to successfully collect.
