Tesla is the world’s most valuable auto company with a market capitalization north of $1 trillion. Coming into Wednesday trading, Rivian was worth almost as much as GM, about $90 billion. Rivian, based on its diluted share count, closed Tuesday worth more than $170 billion. That’s more than Ford and GM combined.
