In IOCL, there is no concept of 12 hour shift. There is only 8 hour shift. You might have to do 12 hour or 16 hour shift occassionally but that is rare and only when other shift personals are on leave specially on festivals. Working hours in BHEL, GAIL, HPCL & BPCL are almost same as of IOCL.
