The nature of the violence in Fortnite is the crux of the problem. The objective of the game is to be the last person alive to kill every other player in the game until you are the last person standing (Battle Royale). In Fortnite everyone is the enemy, there are no friends, and the killing is frenetic and random.

Fortnite is harmful for kids. Sure, it doesn’t show blood, but players still kill each other, and that’s too intense for kids. The game is free, but it pushes players to spend money to buy extras, like dance moves for the characters.
