Yes and the list is growing. There is an increasing number of foreign-born mangaka in the industry today. That being said, the road to becoming a success in this field isn’t generally seen as an easy one. Classic anime and manga have strong roots in Japanese culture.

Can a non Japanese manga become an anime?

It’s extremely unlikely your manga will become well known in Japan and so will probably never be made into an anime etc.

Can an Indian become a manga artist in Japan?

Can I became a manga artist even if I’m not living in japan? Yes, you can. For one, you can self-publish manga, and you can even earn a living doing it.
