Are budgies friendlier than lovebirds?

I’ve had both, the budgies formed bonds with me while my lovebird didn’t, therefore the budgies had been more affectionate. However no matter which one you get they will bond with you if you spend enough time with them. If you form a strong enough bond they will be affectionate towards you.
