Is Resnick Halliday necessary for JEE Advanced?
Resnick Halliday covers almost all areas of physics at an undergraduate level, at least from the perspective of JEE. It stays fairly within limits so as to not feel very advanced for an undergraduate course but at the same time isn’t too dilute to be of no use for a JEE aspirant.

OP aggrawal for chemistry is a good book for JEE but not enough to get very good marks in jee. Both book are better fr clearing yr fundamental concepts & improve numerical ability but Irodov is much better than Hallisay Resnick as my views. I would definately suggest going for Irodov as it’s the best for Advance problem solving.

So the best option would be Halliday Resnick Walker for JEE by Amit Gupta. There are many reasons: First of all the original versions feel out of context to many aspirants. Usually, books by foriegn authors have in-depth theory and books by Indian Authors are concise.
